Antonina Shevchenko
Antonina Shevchenko is the Kyrgyzstani Muay-Thai athlete from Peru, and a mixed martial art artist fighting for in the UFC within the Flyweight Division. She's in the midst of competing. Shevchenko is the younger sister of the former UFC Flyweight champion and co- UFC athlete Valentina. Antonina Shevchenko started her professional career as an Muay Thai kickboxer. She first made an appearance in 2003, at the IFMA World Championship Tournament. Shevchenko won the event and beat Suzane Mill in the finals by unanimous choice. Antonina continued to win and was awarded a silver medal in 2007, and a bronze in 2008 and a gold award in 2011 as well as the 2016 IFMA Amateur Muay Thai World Champion. Antonia began her professional journey in 2003. She won her the WKC K-1 Light Welterweight World Championship in 2012 the Lion Fight Lightweight Championship in 2016 and then the WMC and Phoenix FC World Championships in 2016. Antonina's final fight took place in the Phoenix Fighting Championship against Isa Tidblad Keskikangas. She was victorious by unanimous decision. Antonina Shychenko's pro MMA debut was in 2002 in the KFK cup of Kyrgystan in which she fought Anara Bayanova. She managed to take home in the second round of a TKO fight. She also won the following two games during the WXF: X-Impact World Championships in 2003. The result was an overall record of 3-0. Shevchenko put on a pause from MMA to concentrate on her kickboxing. She then was able to make her return with Anissa Haddaoui during Phoenix FC 3 in 2017. Shevchenko was able to defeat Anissa via unanimous decision and then defeated Valerie Domergue at Phoenix FC 4. In 2018, she left the tournament and started competing in Dana White's Contender Series. Shevchenko defeated Jaimelene Nievera at Dana White's Tuesday Night Contender Series 11. Antonina used her superior punching skills in order to TKO Nievera in the clinch through knees that hit the body. Antonina's UFC contract was extended following this victory. Antonina made her UFC debut during the TUF Heavy Hhitters Finale to be fought by Ji Yeon Kim. Shevchenko defeated Roxanne Modafferi with a split decision fight following her first fight by unanimous decision.
